Also required: no previous VEU ceiling upgrade at this address. On site, a licensed electrician completes a safety check at least 24 hours before install, and the installer checks again on the day.

Renting?

Your landlord makes the request. From 1 March 2027, new rental agreements, and agreements moving to month-to-month, need R5.0 ceiling insulation where none exists (Consumer Affairs Victoria).
